Case Study: Loom House
ADC160 Presentation Techniques | Professor Ariel Vazquez | Autumn 2023
SketchUp, AutoCAD, Lumion
This project focused on digital presentation and architectural visualization. With guidance from my professor, I selected a piece that challenged my abilities and attention to detail.
Outside Seattle, the Loom House, designed by Miller Hull, was recently refurbished and retrofitted to be ecologically conscious with integrated sunroofs and solar panels, on-site water treatment, and innovative energy-efficient systems.
This project was particularly demanding, requiring meticulous replication of every minute detail. From the construction of the timber rafters, the full-length skylights, the integrated seating along the mantel, to the seating on the patio, I wanted it to look straight out of a press release.
Upon bringing the SketchUp model into Lumion, this beautiful home demanded an artistic wink, which the color sketch integrated perfectly.
